Guinevere gets it.
I use an entirely different set of proportions. All other architecture seems to want to be taller- to illustrate some kind of power and grandeur. I don't care about that. I drop my houses like a lowrider on hydraulics.

I think this was just my instinct to undermine the fake heroics that are endemic to architecture, but it also was the starting point of a more sophisticated engagement with the body...and real life. There is no part of Rosa Muerta that is out of reach- that is a really weird idea that I have never seen in any other piece of architecture. It almost sounds like a moral position if you think about it. Maybe it is?

But, when we pull architecture off the pedestal and stop pretending it is abstract, above and outside of culture ...we can put it in direct engagement with people, their bodies, their eyes, their ideas, their feelings.
